Chalabi, Larijani discuss economic relations and status in Bahrain
Baghdad (NINA) – Head of the Iraqi National Conference INC, Ahmed Chalabi, discussed with head of the Iranian Shura Council, Ali Larijani, bilateral relations and means to develop them, a statement issued by INC mentioned on Tuesday.
“Chalabi discussed with Larijani and a number of Iranian MPs mutual relations, especially the economic, during his visit to Tehran,” the statement added.
The statement went on saying that the meeting also discussed status quo in the region, evaluated the changes and their impact on the strategic status, and that all expressed relief over the liberation movements sweeping the Arab world.
The statement concluded “the debate concentrated on events in Bahrain and the oppression practiced against the Bahraini people and the necessity of peaceful work to stop the campaign against them.”
