Azerbaijan expresses dissatisfaction with EU report

Baku (Trend) - Azerbaijan has expressed dissatisfaction with the EU report on the situation with fundamental freedoms in Azerbaijan.
Head of the EU representation in Azerbaijan Roland Kobia was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry to discuss the document, the ministry said.
The Foreign Ministry considers the OSCE Permanent Council's statement voiced on April 7 to be biased and based on false information, the report said.
The statement runs counter to the existing spirit of relations between the EU and Azerbaijan. This is unacceptable, the Foreign Ministry said.
The EU made a statement regarding fundamental freedoms in Azerbaijan on April 8.
The statement expressed the EU's concern about Azerbaijan's attitude toward fundamental freedoms.
Azerbaijan informed the EU that the government is committed to democratic principles of development, executes its obligations in international organizations and continues cooperating with them in this field.
