Water resources minister, German ambassador discuss projects

Baghdad (NINA) – Minister of Water Resources, Mohannad Al Saadi, discussed with the German Ambassador, George Christian, the joint cooperation and German firms’ participation in implementing irrigation projects.

A statement issued by the ministry said “both sides discussed the German firms’ participation in irrigation projects, especially implementing the final solution for the Mosul Dam foundations problem and the Shat Al Arab irrigation channel problem.”

The minister hailed the developing Iraqi-German relations in all domains and the German support of Iraq in reconstruction especially in the technical and water resources management as well as the best usage of water, stressing the “importance of mutual cooperation especially in the retrieve of infrastructure of agricultural and irrigation domains.”
