Indonesian officials in Pakistan to confirm identity of Bali bomber Umar Patek
Jakarta, April 08, 2011 (PPI): Indonesian security officials are in Pakistan confirming the identity of a man believed to be Bali Bomber Umar Patek, Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa confirmed on Friday.
Marty said a team comprising officials from the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and National Police had flown to Pakistan, Jakarta Post reported.
He said it remained to be seen whether the man would be extradited to Indonesia. “All options remain open and we will see what we will do once the man’s identity is confirmed,” Marty said.
