Nijiafi expresses hope to benefit from Czech's experience

Baghdad (NINA) – Speaker of Parliament, Usama al-Nijaifi, expressed hope to benefit from Czech's experiment in democratic system and to open horizons of mutual interests.

This came during a meeting with the Mayor of the Czech city of Karlovy Vary, within his visit program to the Czech Republic.

A statement by the Speaker's Office said, "Nijaifi praised the deep rooted Czech people pointing out that the Iraqis value civilization because they are sons of a long history and Iraq is from which civilization began."

The statement quoted Nijaifi saying, "Iraq is recovering and moving toward democracy and stability; it hopes to consolidate its relations with the Czech Republic and benefit for the Czech's democratic experience, as well as open new horizons of mutual interests."

Nijaifi arrived in Prague on Wednesday heading a Parliamentary delegation on an official visit to the Czech Republic.
