Laos, Thailand, Vietnam exhibit fine arts
VIENTIANE,APRIL 6.(KPL)- Paintings by teachers of the National Fine Arts Institute of Laos, Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University in Vietnam, Khon Kaen University of Thailand.
Held at the Fine Arts Institute, Vientiane Capital, the event also saw the display of paintings and photos by the Health Information Centre, Ministry of Health.
The painting exhibition was officially opened on 5 April with the presence of Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Bosengkham Vongdala, teachers and students from three Universities and Health Information Centre.
Mr. Maising Chanboutdy, Director of National Fine Arts Institute of Laos said that the Exhibition was aimed at promoting the exchange of experience in fine arts production, and mutual technical assistance.
“The exhibition is part of the celebration of the 50th founding anniversary of the Public Security force and the general election to the National Assembly on April 30,” said Mr. Maising.
On display included 21 oil colour paintings, 19 water colour paintings, 22 acrylic paintings, two black-and-white paintings, according to Mr. Maising.
The most paintings on display depict the culture and fine traditions, way of life of the Lao people and beauty of nature, and natural resources abundance in Laos.
