Nijaifi arrives in Prague on official visit to Czech
Baghdad (NINA) – Speaker of Parliament, Usama al-Nijaifi, arrived in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, heading an official delegation.
At hand welcoming Nijaifi at Prague Airport was Deputy Speaker of the Czech Senate, Alena Gajdůšková, and the Czech Ambassador to Iraq, Bronislava Tomasova, in addition to a number of Czech officials.
A statement issued on Wednesday, Apr. 6, by the Speaker's Office said, "The visit's schedule consists of meeting with Czech officials, delivering a speech before at the Czech Parliament (House and Senate), as well as discussing means to develop parliamentary relations through friendship and cooperation committees between the two countries."
It added, "Nijaifi expressed happiness for visiting the Czech Republic, pointing out that the relations between Iraq and Czech goes back for over 80 years, and this visit is an opportunity to consolidate the relations."
