Oil Minister, Luke Oil president discuss work in Western Qurna Oil Field

Baghdad (NINA) – Oil Minister, Abdul Kareem Luaibi, discussed with president of Russian Luke Oil company, Waheed AlKebirov, process of work in West Qurna Oil Fieldstage two.

“The ministry achieved progress in the development of the field through the first and second rounds of contracting, the time was reduced for the first stage,” a statement issued by the Ministry of Oil said.

It added “the ministry works on providing proper atmospheres for the company to work and overcome the hurdles that might face it.”

For his part, Alkebirov hailed the continuous cooperation shown by the ministry, pointing out that his company will commit to the timetable of production and achieve production peak.
