Hakeem, American Ambassador discuss the country's political situation
Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, discussed with US Ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey, the general political situation in the country.
A statement issued on Saturday, Apr. 2, by the SIIC said, "In the meeting the two discussed the general political situation in the country and means to consolidate bilateral relations in various scientific and cultural fields."
It added, "They also discussed the on going changes witnessed by some Arab countries and their effects on the region."
