Hakeem, Essawi discussed political developments, activate agreements between blocs
Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC), Ammar al-Hakeem, discussed with Finance Minister, Rafi' al-Essawi, the political developments and activating agreements reached between political blocs.
A statement issued on Thursday, Mar. 31, by the SIIC said, "Hakeem met on Thursday afternoon with Essawi discussing latest political developments in Iraq and the Arab countries."
It added, "The two asserted the necessity to hold lines together within the political process and activate agreements reached between political blocs; they also discussed necessary steps to up grade the Ministry of Finance's performance."
