Golf Long Thanh donates USD 0.1 million for Japan’s victims

VIENTIANE,MARCH 29 (KPL) - Vietnamese company Golf Long Thanh has presented a donation package of US$ 108,000 as relief assistance for the victims of earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan. The handover of the package took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ office in Vientiane on March 27.
The relief aid was presented by President of the Golf Long Thanh, Mr. Le Van Kiem, to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith and Minister of Health, Dr. Ponemek Dalaloy who is also President of the Laos-Japan Friendship Association.
Besides to Sunday’s assistance, the Golf Long Thanh, Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane and the Sa-com Bank in Laos presented a donation package of US$108,000 to Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith to further present to Japanese government to help the victims of natural disasters in Japan.
On March 28, at the Committee for External Relations of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee there was a presentation of a donation package of 67 million kip by the Ministry of Health and 5.5 million kip by the Committee for External Relations.
As of 28 March, over 900 million kip, USD 300,000, THB 4,000 and JPY 1,000 have been donated for victims of natural disasters in Japan.
