Journalists Syndicate holds symposium on Journalists Protection Draft Law
Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqi Journalists Syndicate arranges on Tuesday, March 29, a symposium on the Iraqi Journalists Protection Draft Law in cooperation with the Iraqi Journalists' Rights Defense Association.
Syndicate's secretary general, Saadi Al Sabi', told NINA that the symposium will be held in Alwiya Club and that lawyers, journalists, and managers of media outlets will take part to discuss articles of the draft law which is supposed to be read in parliament for the first reading tomorrow.
He pointed out that the syndicate wanted to discuss the draft to make notes on its legal and professional sides to finish its articles and speed up endorsing it by the parliament since the need for this law is very urgent.
