Zaidi made an agreement with a number of media organizations in which he ended a sit-in of journalists and intellectuals in Firdaws Sq. The journalists were demanding the improvement of services; they formed a committee to spotlight defects and flaws of the executive offices at the governorate. The committee found hundreds of violations, yet, Zaidi did not honor his commitment to the agreement he made, a matter that obligates the journalists to carry out their patriotic duty and demand Zaidi’s resignation.
