Parliament directs recommendations to government on riots in Aden

SANA'A, March 16 (Saba) - Parliament discussed on Wednesday the special report of the parliamentary committee
charged with investigating riots which have taken place in Aden governorate,reviewing a videotape on the events in some streets of the city.
The parliament imposed on the competent authorities to detect the perpetrators of riots and shooting fire whether by security authorities or infiltrators in the protests
that resulted in a number of deaths and injuries to refer them to justice.
The recommendations included the release of those who are arrested in the protests who did not harm public or private interests.
The recommendations pointed out the importance to address the land issues and unregulated construction, stopping any people whoillegally own state-owned lands or owned by
citizens.
It also asked the local council in the governorate to determine a land for protests according to the law.
The parliament also asked concerned authorities to complete youth employment, providing protection for public facilities, capturing wanted security men and opening closed
roads in the governorate.
The recommendations obliged the government to limit human and material damages citizens incurred in these events and compensate them fairly.
The parliament urged concerned authorities in the government to follow-up those recommendations and implement them in a specific time and present implementations' results
within two weeks of its start.
