Fifty-five PPI killed by security forces in Pakistan
Islamabad, Aug 24 PPI: Fifty-five militants were killed and many others injured in the ongoing military operation in restive north western areas of Pakistan on Sunday.
Ten personnel of security forces also died in the clashes According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) sources, in Kabbal Tehsil of Swat valley, fifty militants including foreigners have been killed and scores of others injured. Those killed also include some prominent commanders of themilitants.
Ten security personnel embraced martyrdom and seven injured in the on-goingfighting. Three military vehicles of the security forces were destroyed by mines.
In Bajaur agency, five militants were killed and seven others injured in theon-going operation by security forces.
Official sources say the security forces pounded the militants' hideouts in theareas of Nawagi, Charmang, Chinagai and Badali.
