Heat wave likely to grip Sindh, Southern Punjab, Balochistan

Karachi, March 15, 2011 (PPI): Most parts of Sindh, Southern Balochistan and Southern Punjab will remain under the grip of heat wave conditions during next 3-4 days, Met. Office predicted. Day temperatures are likely to range between 41 to 43 °C in most parts of Sindh/Southern Balochistan, 38-40°C in South Punjab and 34-36°C in Islamabad/upper Punjab and plain areas of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. The prevailing dry weather is likely to continue in plain areas of the country during the current week. The heat wave conditions are likely to subside from coming weekend, after some rain over Northern parts of the country.
