Laos provides US$100,000 relief aid to Japanese victims
VIENTIANE,MARCH 11.(KPL)- Lao Government has provided US$100,000 to relieve Japanese victims who have suffered from earthquake and tsunami hit the northeastern Japan last Friday.
The handover ceremony was held at the Ministry Foreign Affairs, on 13 March. The relief aid was presented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hiem Phommachanh, representing the Lao government to the Japanese Ambassador to Laos, Mrs. Junko Yokota.
The relief aid of Lao Government aimed to relieve the Japanese victims who have been hit by earthquake and tsunami leading to loss life and damage infrastructure.
The Lao government will also continue to raise funds for helping the Japanese victims.
