Taiwanese company builds plant in Hai Duong
Hanoi (VNA) - Taiwan 's Wanshin Electronics Ltd. Co. has been licensed to build a plant in the Dai An industrial zone in northern HaiDuong province.
The 10 million USD plant will specialise in manufacturing and assembling cables and other parts for laptops and cell phones. The whollyforeign-invested project is expected to be put into operation by late 2009.
The Dai An IZ has so far this year attracted five new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects capitalised at 130 million USD, bringing the totalnumber of FDI projects in the IZ to 32 totalling 432 million USD.
Built in 2003 about 5km to the west of Hai Duong city at a cost of 274 billion VND, the 170ha Dai An IZ is home to 15 operational plants while nine others are under construction. These projects have created 6,800jobs.
