Laos, Vietnam students showcase photo exhibition

VIENTIANE,MAR 11.(KPL)- A photo exhibition of students from fine art universities of Laos and Vietnam opened on March 10 in Vientiane Capital.
The exhibition, jointly held by the Lao Fine Art Department under Ministry of Information and Culture and the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in Laos, was attended by Lao Standing Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavad and Vietnam Ambassador Ta Minh Chau.
Under the theme of “the Party and Lao-Vietnamese youth”, the exhibition showcased 70 art works of students from three universities, including Vietnam Fine Arts Teachers’ University, Lao National Faculty of Fine Art and Lao Teachers’ College.
The photos not only represent the youthfulness of young people in the new era but also embody the students’ gratitude to the Party as well as the traditional friendship between Laos and Vietnam over the war time as well as during the national development.
The exhibition also aims to celebrate the success of Vietnam’s 11th National Party Congress and welcome the upcoming Lao 9th Party Congress.
The exhibition will run till March 25.
