ASEAN discusses ICT application to industry
VIENTIANE,MAR 11.(KPL)- The 3rd Regional Conference on ICT Applications to Industries and Small Companies in ASEAN Countries (RCICT 2011) was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Laos.
The conference is designed to provide opportunity for participants to exchange information and ideas on emerging systems, standards, regulations, services and variety of applications of ICTs.
“Recently, we are facing rapid changes of ICT industries more than ever, which make us hard to catch up with the fast pace of development. To respond to this trend, businesses, regulators, and researchers have to adapt themselves to provide better interactive environments for general public,” said Dean of the National University of Laos’s Engineering Faculty, Mr. Boualinh Soysouvanh.
“Researches should go beyond their academic contributions and make some practical contribution to our everyday lives. It’s not easy to keep up with the fast pace of the ICT development alone,” added Mr. Boualinh.
