Foreign investment fund opens rep. office in HCM City
HCM City (VNA) - A Singapore-based investment fund, Templeton Asset Management Ltd Co., opened its representative office in Ho Chi Minh City on August 22.
The rep. office will focus on studying emerging markets and promotingfinancial projects to help Vietnam develop its securities market.
Mark Mobius, CEO of the Templeton Asset Management Ltd, an arm of the Franklin Templeton Investment Fund, held that Vietnam is a new andpotential market.
He said he believed that the country will become one of the most important markets in Asia , adding that his company wished to introduce to investorsopportunities brought about by the country's growth advantages.
The Franklin Templeton Fund entered Vietnam in February this year after buying a 49 percent stake of the Vietcombank Securities Investment Fund.-Enditem
