Contest for the best oil pumping station
Atyrau, 20 August 2008, (Khabar) - "KazTransOil" JSC holds the contest for the best oil pumping station. "Atyrau" oil refinery is one of claimants for the victory.
Over 20 million tones of hydrocarbons will be sent due to this station inside the country and abroad, this volume of raw material is third part of Kazakhstani oil. Oil from Tengiz deposit is poured into the railway cisterns at "Atyrau" oil pumping station. Due to this operation Aktau seaport will receive 1,6 million tones of crude oil. Kazakhstani oil is transported to the world markets and production infrastructure is modernized at the same time. It is supposed that oil pumping station will pump over 21million tones.
Sarkis Snkhchan, head of Atyrau oil pipeline department of Western office of "KazTransOil" JSC: - "Atyrau" oil pumping station receives, stores and exports oil with the help of oil pipeline Atyrau-Samara. Then this oil is taken to CTC system transported father to Novorossiisk. After that oil is poured into railwaycisterns and for transportation.
Special jury inspected the activity of staff of oil pumping station. The task is to define winners all over the Kazakhstan in framework of jubilee10th contest "Best oil pumping station".
Alexey Pirogov, deputy of general director of "KazTransOil" JSC on production: - We created the equal conditions and all oil pumping stations were divided to three groups coming from volume of their reservoir. Six oil pumping stations were selected for final and then the winner of the year will be chosen. "Atyrau", "Large Chagan", "Kosshagyl" oil pumping stations were selected for final. The "Karakoin", "Chulak-Korgan" and "Zhuan Tobe" oilpumping stations became the finalists of the Western branch.
The work of oil pumping stations will be valued according to several parameters. The station must have high technical readiness and advanced methods of control of equipment's functioning. Special attention is paid to the professionalism of all the workers and observing of rules of safety measures. The results of the contest will be declared on the eve of professional holiday of oil workers. And recently the contest "Best in profession" has ended and electric gas welder of Atyrau oil pipelinedepartment Andrey Makhorin became one of winners of this contest.
