Babil PC votes on Governor’s resignation
Hilla, Babil (NINA) –The Babil Provincial Council approved, in its session held on Monday, the resignation submitted by Babil Governor Salman al-Zarkani, who belongs to Dawa Party headed by Premier Nouri al-Maliki.
The 12 members of the State of Law’s Coalition voted against this resignation.
Dozens of people have demonstrated in front of the Babil PC Building, calling the PC to reject the resignation of the Governor.
The demonstrators tried to breakthrough the building but the police forces stopped them.
