Over 30 people killed in roads last week in Yemen

SANA'A, Feb. 26 (Saba) - Public
Traffic Department at the Interior Ministry has registered nearly 194 road accidents
taken
place throughout the country last week killing about 33 people.
The accidents caused also injuries of 259 people and approximately YR 34.4 million
losses, according to a report issued by the Department.
The report showed that the capital Sana'a has ranked first in terms of accidents
number with 57, followed by Taiz province with 37 and Hodeidah province with 25
accidents,
whereas only four accidents have been registered in Marib province placing it at the
bottom of the list of the accidents number.
The reasons behind the accidents were over speed, drivers' careless, technical
faults and others.
Interior Ministry has announced that some 109 people were killed due to road
accidents throughout the country in the first half of February.
The ministry said that about 494 accidents have been occurred in the same period
resulted also in wounding about 664 people.
