Maliki thanked Iraqis, asserts carrying out whatever within his power

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, asserted that he personally will follow up all issues within his authority, being Prime Minister, and will follow up the ministers' works and local governments committing them to carry out their promises.

In an address to the Iraqis on Friday, Feb. 25, after the demonstrations, Maliki said, "I would like to assert to my fellow citizens that none of the issues they have protested about or objected to will be go in vain; I will personally follow up the execution of all issues that fall within my responsibilities as a Prime Minister, and will follow up the works of ministers and local governments committing them to carry out their promises."
