Ata: We have confirmed reports that AMS will attack Friday's demonstrators
Baghdad (NINA) – Spokesman for Baghdad Operations, General Qasim Ata, said that security agencies have confirmed information that the Association of Moslem Scholars (AMS) will attack next Friday's demonstrators.
Ata said inn a joint press conference with the Government's Spokesman, Ali Dabbagh, on Tuesday, Feb. 22, that the AMS is preparing to attack demonstrators on Friday.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Interior is working toward activating an arrest warrant against the Secretary General of AMS, Harith al-Dhari, as well as its other officials.
