Mutlag, US Ambassador discuss ties, withdrawal

Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Premier, Salih Al Mutlag, discussed with the US Ambassador in Baghdad, James Jeffery “future of bilateral ties, the necessity of abiding by the timetables of the US troops withdrawal from Iraq, and activating the strategic agreement.”

A statement issued by Al Mutlag office said “during the meeting, bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in different domains were discussed.”



Mutlag referred to the government’s keenness on responding to the people’s demands of; improving services, facing up corruption, and upgrading the living standards.

For his part, the US official renewed his country’s support of the political march in Iraq, asserting US president Obama’s continuous support to the Iraqi people, the statement concluded.
