BIDV awarded for foreign exchange services
Hanoi (VNA) - The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has been once again selected as Vietnam 's best supplier of foreign exchange services in 2008 by Hong Kong 's Asiamoney magazine.
This is the second consecutive year the bank has been voted the title byits partners which at the same time are its competitors.
BIDV is highly rated for its ability to supply large volumes of foreign currencies and outstanding services such as on-demand delivery of foreigncurrency trading and exchange rate and interest risk insurance.
As one of the top leading suppliers of derivative financial products, in 2007, the bank's future coffee trading product also won the "Outstanding Development Project Awards" of the Association of Development FinancingInstitutions in Asia and the Pacific.
BIDV has for over the past years expanded relations with international partners and currently cooperates in foreign currency trading with more than 40 domestic and foreign banking partners. Its main international trading markets include Hong Kong , Singapore , Switzerland , Frankfurt andLondon .
Many international financial organisations as World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have alsochosen BIDV as their co-financing partner or the bank for their projects.
The bank's credit growth reached 10.2 percent in the first seven months of this year and it is estimated to achieve 25 percent for the whole year.-
