Journalist killed in eastern Mosul
Mosul (NINA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated the well-known journalist and writer, Hilal l-Ahmadi, in eastern Mosul on Thursday morning.
Police source assured to NINA that “The gunmen opened fire killing Ahmadi while he was heading to his work,” noting that “The police forces transferred Ahmadi’s body to the morgue.”
Ahmadi works as the Media Chief of Nineveh Communications Department and he is well known by his patriotic enthusiasm and criticism through his writing in various Iraqi newspapers.
