Foreign artists praise Persian artworks
TEHRAN, Feb.15(MNA) -- The two foreign guests attending the seminar on the 3rd Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts visited Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art praise the beautiful Persian artworks on display.
Canadian John Lent, a pioneer in the study of international communications and mass media, and Dutch sculptor and artist Gerard Caris visited the exhibits underway at the museum on Sunday.
The museum is currently hosting several exhibits of reviewing the Islamic Revolution, works by veteran artists, and modern art as parts of the festival.
John Lent who was visiting the museum with his wife regarded Persian artwork alive, rich and original, and said that he would recommend people from all over the world to visit Iran for its Persian artworks.
Caris was also amazed to see the Persian art and said it was very significant. He also expressed hope that Persian art would get the opportunity to be showcased all over the world.
Several seminars have been arranged as part of the festival . “Creativity in Art” was discussed by Lent on Monday. Caris will be discussing “Creativity in Art with the Central Theme of Pentagonism” on Tuesday.
Lent is a Canadian poet and novelist, as well as a college teacher of creative writing and literature, and the founding managing editor of Witty World International Cartoon Magazine.
Caris has pursued a single motif throughout the course of his artistic career, the pentagon.
The Iranian Artists Forum, Niavaran Cultural Center, Saba Art and Cultural Institute, Tehran’s Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art, along with the art centers in 20 other provinces, are currently hosting the event.
Six foreign countries of Austria, Italy, Syria, France, the Netherlands and Ghana are also joining with Iran in displaying Iranian visual artworks during the festival.
