Fishery ministry allocated 3 bln to support fisheries projects
three billion to support fishery projects in the coastalgovernorates, Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed Shamlan said.
The minister noted, during a meeting in Aden province in attendance with governor Adnan al-Jaferi, that the local authorities in the governorates would be authorized to implement the projects funded bythis amount.
The minister affirmed the importance of availing from thesignificant components of the fishery sector in Aden governorate.
Shamlan pointed out that the ministry intends to set up a comprehensive strategy as an enhancement step for the fishery sectoras it is one of the promising sectors in the country.
In addition, he highlighted the investment opportunities and economic feasibility offered by this sector in all the coastal governorates, particularly in areas of internal marketing andexporting abroad.
