IA officer killed in western Baghdad explosion
Baghdad (NINA) – An Iraqi officer with a rank of Brigadier was killed and four persons, among them security elements, were injured due to a bomb explosion in Ghazaliya area on Tuesday morning.
Police source reported to NINA “A bomb exploded targeting the vehicle of the IA Brigadier Ihsan Ali Mohammed, killing him immediately and damaging his vehicle as well as causing damages for nearby houses in Ghazaliya area of western Baghdad.”
“After the explosion, police and IA patrols hurried towards the explosion site, but another bomb exploded, injuring two policemen, a soldier and a civilian and damaging a police vehicle,” the source concluded.
