Shahristani: talks with Mitsubishi to invest in gas
Baghdad (NINA) - Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussein Shahristani, said talks are being held with the Japanese Mitsubishi company to exploit and develop the natural gas riches in Iraq, as well as the development of Shuaiba refinery in Basra.
A source at Shahristani office said "the Deputy Premier met Monday, Feb. 7, Japanese foreign undersecretary, person in charge of donations for Iraq's reconstruction, and businessmen. Both sides discussed means of reconstructing Iraq after the security improvements, as well as Iraq's desire to deal with Japanese companies."
