US companies complaint against Yemen dismissed
PARIS, Aug 12 (Saba) - The International Court of Arbitration
at the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has
dismissed a complaint filed by the US oil companies of Axon Mobil
and Hunt against the Yemeni government.
The complaint claimed a five-year expansion of a production sharing
agreement at the block 18th in the district of Safir in Marib
province.
The committee ruled that the production sharing agreement between
Yemen and the companies already ended on November 14, 2005.
Yemen hailed the ICC ruling and expressed readiness to stick to it.
