GFATM to fight Malaria in Yemen with USD 27 mln

SANA'A, Aug. 09 (Saba) - Yemen and Global Fund to Fight AIDS,
Tuberculosis and Malaria held talks here on Saturday on the
arrangements to sign an agreement of USD 27 million granted by the
fund for fighting Malaria.

Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Rase'a
discussed with the Regional Director of the Fund for Middle East and
North Africa Hend al-Khatib the cooperation relations between the
ministry and the fund.

The two sides reviewed the achievements in field of fighting Malaria
in many provinces this year.

Worth mentioning, Yemen won by the end of 2007 the financial gift of
the fund's 7th round during the period 2009 - 2013.
