National Ethnic Minority Committee launches websites

Hanoi (VNA) - The National Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs
(CEMA) has officially launched its website at http://www.cema.gov.vn .

At the launching ceremony on August 5, Minister and CEMA Chairman Giang
Seo Phu said the website offers latest official information in both
Vietnamese and English on the Party and State's laws and policies concerning
ethnic groups and the operation of relevant agencies and localities
nationwide.

It is also intended to promote the image, historical values and special
cultural identities of Vietnam 's 54 ethnic groups as well as the
achievements in the implementation of the Party and State's policies, he
added.

The committee also put into operation the same day a website to introduce
the second phase of programme 135 at http://www.chuongtrinh135.vn .

Programme 135 is the socio-economic development programme for extremely
difficult communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.-Enditem
