million USD plaza opens in HCM City
HCM City (VNA) - Private business CT Group opened its new trade and service building worth 30 million USD on July 26, putting another high-end destination for local and foreign customers on the map.
Across from Tan Son Nhat International Airport , the nine-storey building with two additional basement levels takes up more than 31,000 sq.mfor commercial space, according to Chairman Tran Kim Chung.
Floor space has already been contracted, with Malaysia 's Parkson Plaza occupying five floors. Its neighbours include the English language centreILA, Megastar cinema, a food court and other services.
The plaza also offers free goods consignment and an electric shuttle to the airport check-in area. Electronic flight schedule boards update those whowant to buy-n-fly with information.
Chung believes his lifestyle industry project will satisfy the demands of young people, a significant demographic in the country's population, and expects it to contribute to turning Vietnam into a premiere shoppingdestination in the region.
Established in 1992, CT Group has 22 affiliates operating in fields such asluxury brand retailing, finance, education, entertainment and real estate.
It plans to open several plazas in the city next year. The group is also cooperating with partners from the US and Malaysia in developing a Disneyland over 420 ha in HCM City 's Binh Chanh District.-Enditem
