Yemen, GCC discuss arrangements for Yemen Friends' meeting

NEW YORK, Sep. 22 (Saba)
- A ministerial meeting of Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states held on
Wednesday
in New York discussed the arrangements for upcoming meeting of Yemen Friends next
Friday in New York.
Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi affirmed the importance of succeeding Yemen
Friends' initiative aiming to prop up and accelerate Yemen's development and reform
efforts.
New York meeting is a step towards setting up mechanisms to succeed Yemen Friends'
coming meeting which is to be held in Saudi Arabia in next year, al-Qirbi said.
He also valued the efforts of GCC's states to cooperate with Yemen to carry out the
development plans and to accelerate establishing investments projects to combat
poverty
and provide job opportunities as well as developing educational and health sector.
