YAJC starts its activities ALGIERS

, July 27 (Saba)- The 9th Yemeni-Algerian Joint Ministerial Committee (YAJC) activities started on Sunday in Algiers co-chaired by Ministerof Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ba-Surra and his Algerian counterpart Rashid Harraoubia.

The meeting discussed a number of agreements and protocols to be signed between the two countries and reviewed report about implementing level of agreements and protocols signed between the two countries during the 8th round meeting of the committee inSana'a in June 2004.

It is expected that the committee meetings will end on Monday and a number ofagreements will be signed.

During his meeting, on the sidelines of committee's round activities on Sunday, with the Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia, Ba-Surra expressed his happiness to hold the YAJC meetings in Algiers, confirming his country's interest to boost and improve cooperation ties between the two countries in various fields and translating the agreementsthat would be signed into practical implementation.

Ba-Surra conveyed to Ouyahia an invitation from Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Mujuwarto visit Yemen.
