Over 50 people killed in road accidents last week

SANA'A, Aug.21 (Saba)- About 54
people were killed and 248 others injured in 207 road accidents across the country
during
last week.
According to the report of the Public Traffic Department, the traffic accidents
that caused a loss of more than 59 million included 110 crash accidents, 66 running
over,
29 turning over and two falling accidents.
The capital Sana'a came first in the number of traffic accidents with 74 traffic
accidents, while Hodeidah province was ranked first in terms of the number of
deaths with
14 deaths.
The report attributed the accidents to over speed, technical defects, wrong
overtaking and other reasons.
