Delegations of Gulf football associations in Sana`a

SANA'A, Aug.21 (Saba)- A number
of Gulf delegations of football federations arrived in Sana'a on Saturday to
participate
in the celebration of draw for the 20th Gulf Cup, to be held on Sunday in Aden.
Among the arrivals, the secretary-general of the Omani Football Association Saleh
bin Abdullah al-Farisi and the secretary-general of the Iraqi Football Association
Tariq
Ahmed Ali.
In a statement to Saba, al-Farisi said that according to the regulations the draw
would be carried out three months prior to the 20th Gulf Cup championship and the
participation
teams would be identified into two groups.
He noted that Yemen would top the first group, while Oman, the holder of the latest
version of the Gulf Cup, would top the second group, affirming that Yemen has
completed
all facilities and arrangements for the start of the 20th Gulf Cup on schedule.
In related news, the secretary-general of the Saudi Football Association Faisal
Abdul Hadi arrived in Aden to partake in the celebration.
