Yemen, UNICEF discuss further cooperation

IBB, Aug. 04 (Saba) - The General
Secretary of Ibb Local Council Ali al-Warafi discussed on Wednesday with UNICEF
Yemen representative
Geert Cappelaere projects supported by the UNICEF in several distracts of Ibb,
including rural water, health and education.
The two officials also reviewed the UNICEF's activities in the development fields
and developing the community skills.
Al-Warafi hailed UNICEF's support for Ibb province, mentioning that the province
has a high population growth and needs more support to develop its capabilities in
different
fields.
He confirmed that the local authority seeks to achieve a development partnership
with all the donors, including UNICEF.
For his part, Mr. Cappelaere pointed out the organization is interested in
supporting the children and women programs in the province.
