12th meeting of executive committee of Sana'a Forum kicked off in Sana'a

SANA'A, August 01 (Saba)-12th meeting for executive committee of Sana'a Forum for Cooperation was started on Sunday in Sana'a capital chaired by Yemen's Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi.
In the opening session, al-Qirbi welcomed the participating
delegations, announcing officially membership of Djibouti in the forum.
He said that the joint of Djibouti would enhance role of the gathering at regional and international level and encourage other African countries to join the bloc.
He talked about achievements of the forum during the previous period,
saying that in spite of all economic, political and security challenges, but the belief on the forum
is strong which helps to tackle faults and activate role of the forum at regional and international levels.
Al-Qirbi said that the 12th meeting would discuss means of activating
role of the forum and decisions of the Khartoum summit in 2008 as well
as look at charter of the forum
which would be discussed in Addis Ababa by specialists to be sent then
to the coming summit of the forum.
He urged member states to present their comments on the draft of the
charter, affirming commitment of the forum to work hard at international level to rescue Somali people
and support its government.
On the other hand, Saba learned that the participating delegations held a close session over current situation in Somalia, piracy and draft of the charter as well as budget
of the forum.
