SSC blames Houthis for continues breaches

SANA'A, July 31 (Saba) - An official
source at the Supreme Security Committee (SSC) blamed on Saturday Houthi rebels for
the breaches
and serious crimes committed daily.
"Houthi rebels and those, who support them, bear the responsibility for the
non-stop violations of the six-term deal", the source said, adding that their acts
prove that
rebels do not surrender to peace.
The source said that the rebels' violations resulted in large numbers of killed,
wounded and kidnapped persons, road robbery, bombing citizens' houses and looting
their
belongings.
"The last assault of the rebels was the blockade of al-Zala'a site in Harf Sufyan
for two months ended up with killing 12 persons, injuring 55 and kidnapping 228
from the
military units located in the area and from the tribe of Sheikh Sagher Aziz, who is
also a parliament member", the source added.
On February 11th, a ceasefire deal was announced by President Ali Abdullah Saleh
following the Houthi rebel leader acceptance of the government's six terms. The
deal is
supposed to end a sporadic six-year war between the government troops and al-Houthi
rebels since 2004. The last round of the war was erupted in August 2009.
The war has claimed thousands of lives of innocent citizens, soldiers and
insurgents in Saada governorate, which is located close to the border with Saudi
Arabia.
The rebel group was founded by rebel leader Hussein al-Houthi, the eldest brother
of the current group leader Abdul-Malik. Hussein was killed by the army in
September 2004.
The government accuses the Houthi group of trying to reinstall the rule of imams,
which was toppled by a republican revolution in northern Yemen in 1962.
