Govt discusses donor funded projects implementation hindrances

SANA'A, July 25 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi affirmed on Sunday concern of the government to promote
building capacities to improve the level of implementation of projects funded by donors.

At the opening of a workshop by the Planning Ministry and the World Bank over
evaluating implementation process of WB-funded projects in Yemen, the minister
pointed out
that there are governmental treatments targeting deficiencies in carrying out those
projects to ensure making use of the available foreign resources.
He affirmed that there are some projects implemented exactly as planned, noting
that bureaucracy of the allocation procedures of some donor bodies results in delay
in the
implementation of the funded projects.
