Yemen inspects its communities in eastern African states

SANA'A, June 24 (Saba) -
Minister of Expatriate Affairs Ahmad Hussein began on Thursday an African tour to
inspect
the conditions of the Yemeni communities in Djibouti, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and
Uganda.
The minister said that the visit comes to carry out the recommendations of the
Third Expatriates Conference, which have been approved by the cabinet to tackle the
issues
of the Yemeni communities in such countries.
"The visit aims to deal with the communities schools' needs of teachers, books and
references as well as their needs of restorations and infrastructures" he said.
Moreover, administrative authorities for some of the Yemeni communities are to be
reformed, the minister said, adding that friendship committees between Yemen and
each country
are to be established.
Hussein said that the visit also aims to tackle issues of identity papers for some
Yemeni expatriates' in there and to call on the Yemeni and African owners of
capitals
to invest in Yemen.
