Terror ring leader Abdulmalek Rigi, executed
Tehran, June 20, IRNA – Upon a decree issued by the Tehran Islamic Revolution Court, Abdulmalek Rigi was hanged on Sunday morning.
According to the report of the Tehran Revolutionary and Public Court website, Rigi was sentenced to death on 79 counts of crimes.
US-backed Rigi was leader of a terrorist armed group in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. He committed armed robbery, planted bombs, attacked against police and military forces, created terror, and cooperated with aliens.
He was arrested on February 23, while he was flying from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan./end
