Economy Minister : Sanction-imposers want to diminish Iran's economy’s superiorities

Tehran, June 19, IRNA – Minister of Economy and Treasure Affairs said here Friday few initiators of resolution resorting to means as sanctions intend to diminish Iranian economy’s superiorities.

Seyyed Shamseddin Hosseini added in an exclusive interview with IRNA, “All the same, it has already been proved that even under the toughest possible conditions our economy functions fine and in favor of the other countries, as well.”

The economy minister added, “Iran is among the best credited countries in the world and has so far not even had a single dollar of bad credit with any of its trade partners.”

Pointing out that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s financial assets are at a satisfactory level currently, he said, “Our country’s other superiorities include Iran’s great human resources and advanced industrial and technological potentials that can be the harbingers of rapid economic leaps and well being for the nation if they are well facilitated and taken advantage of at commercial level.”

The economy minister argued, “The west’s enmity against Iran is not deep-rooted and a part of their innate nature, but it is their way of creating obstacles in the way of any country that seeks creating a balance (between the east and the west), grow fast, embrace advancement and seek comprehensive justice.”

Hosseini said that passing and imposing new sanctions against Iran is due to their worries about the future of our country, arguing, “If we would tend towards abandoning advancement in various scientific and technological fields fearing from getting ourselves exposed to new sets of sanctions, we would definitely be the big loser in the future.”

The economic affairs spokesman of the government added, “BY imposing set after set of new sanctions against Iran they are after halting the economic, scientific, and industrial advancement of out country, so that we would be incapable of generating wealth through its most natural path, that is our advanced industrial manufacturing.”

Stating that Iran would never yield to long term deprivation in order to ward off short term pressures, he said, “Among the objectives of the imposers of sanctions against us there is depriving us of the technical advancements of the day.”

The economy and treasure minister referred to some countries’ alignment with Iran and opposing the recent resolution, said, “The advancement and futuristic approach of our country is in line with the interests of the entire world nations.”

Hosseini at the end stressed, “Another intention of the imposers of sanctions is securing their own monopolies and imposing deep gaps among countries they classify as unfit for advancement, which are objectives they would never achieve.”/end
