MP terms resolution 1929, tyrannical

Tehran, June 13, IRNA – A Majlis representative said Sunday the United Nations Security Council’s new resolution against Iran was tyrannical.

Rapporteur of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazem Jalali made the remarks while commenting on the Resolution 1929 adopted by the UNSC on June 9 against Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.

Adopted under US pressure, the resolution imposed the fourth round of sanctions on Tehran for its civilian nuclear program.

“The White House radical rulers are not seeking to resolve issues through negotiations,” Jalili told IRNA.

He stressed that the resolution was “not acceptable”, adding that it proved that the US officials were not to settle the nuclear dispute through diplomatic channels.

Jalali said that the US officials were pursuing the same policies that were followed by the former US administration during George W. Bush era.

The MP stressed that such moves would mislead the process of nuclear talks between Iran and the West./end
