AZERBAIJANI NATIONAL LEADER`s MEMORY HONORED IN LONDON
Baku, May 10 (AzerTAc). A commemorative event to mark 87th anniversary of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was held in the country`s embassy in London.
The event brought together representatives of Azerbaijan`s community in the country.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov briefed the participants on the life and activity of the prominent statesman.
He stressed the role of the national leader in strengthening Azerbaijan`s independence.
The diplomat said thanks to Heydar Aliyev`s forward-looking policy Azerbaijan became a leading country in the region.
The event participants also saw a documentary featuring the national leader`s life and activity.
